Terms of Use

Welcome to vDoske — a classifieds service that brings sellers and buyers together.

The vDoske Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern the relationship between the sole proprietorship "vDoske" (the "Company", "we") and the internet users who access vDoske (the "users", "you").

You may use vDoske in accordance with these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with them, you must stop using vDoske.

What vDoske is

vDoske is a mobile application, available where technically possible from the Apple App Store and Google Store, consisting of the Company's intellectual property and the information held in its information system (administrative and user content) ("vDoske").

vDoske is an electronic catalogue of listings for goods, services, job openings, résumés and other offers (together, "goods") that users can offer and search for on vDoske in order to enter into transactions.

The Company gives signed-in users the technical means to publish information on vDoske as listings in the available categories of goods. The Company gives all users, signed in or not, the technical means to search and view listings on vDoske for the purposes set out in the "Terms". Automated vDoske algorithms process queries in order to return relevant information in search results.

The Company is not a party to, or an organiser of, any transaction, nor a buyer, seller, employer, intermediary, agent or representative of any user, nor a beneficiary or otherwise interested party in transactions between users. Users rely on information published on vDoske to enter into transactions at their own risk, without direct or indirect involvement or control by the "Company".

Registering on vDoske

You can register on vDoske with a mobile phone number from a Korean carrier, entered in the vDoske sign-in form. Once you register we create your unique profile. Only one profile at a time may be linked to a given phone number on vDoske.

You will not be able to register again with a phone number that was used on a deleted or blocked profile for up to 90 days after that deletion or block.

A phone number is required to access all features of the service.

By registering on vDoske, and each time you sign in to vDoske, you warrant that you hold all the authority required to enter into and perform the "Terms".

Signing in to vDoske

You can sign in to your vDoske profile with your mobile phone number and the matching password.

You must keep your vDoske sign-in details confidential. If you have reason to believe that someone has gained unauthorised access to them, tell us immediately. Every action taken on vDoske by a person signed in with your details will be treated as taken by you. You will be responsible for those actions.

Information about users

The information you give the Company about yourself must be accurate and current, and must not breach the law or the rights of third parties. You must keep it up to date in your vDoske profile as required.

We may ask you for details confirming your authority, or verifying the information you have provided on vDoske.

We cannot guarantee that all information users publish on vDoske is accurate. Be careful when entering into transactions.

We may give you the opportunity to complete a trust check on your own initiative, and in certain cases — where signs of a rule breach or bad faith appear — we may ask you to complete one.

A trust check is necessary to perform our agreement with you to make the free features of vDoske available to you, and to keep vDoske users safe, because we aim to provide a service in which users find it easier to trust one another and to enter into transactions.

vDoske may offer several kinds of trust check. Depending on the case, you may be asked to complete one or more of them.

If you are a private user, for the purposes of a trust check you may provide details including a passport, a driving licence, and video images of your face from several angles (with no voice or other audio recorded).

Providing this information is intended to confirm that: 1) the profile was created by a real person for lawful use of vDoske, rather than registered by automated means, previously belonging to another user, or hacked in order to commit unlawful acts; 2) the user is willing to provide further information about themselves because they do not intend to commit unlawful acts (deceiving other users, unlawfully collecting contact details) and are not seeking to avoid responsibility for them.

A video image of your face may be requested in order to confirm that the profile belongs to a real person rather than being registered automatically, and to prevent deception — for example the use of someone else's or forged documents during a trust check.

We do not disclose information about users to third parties except where the law of the Republic of Korea requires it — for example at the request of an authorised state body. That said, we cannot be held responsible for unlawful third-party actions in respect of information that you published on vDoske yourself and made available to other users.

User content

User content is the text, images and video that vDoske users publish in listings, in the public part of a profile, and in reviews. When you leave reviews of users, or replies to reviews, you are expressing your own opinion and assessing your dealings or transaction with another user.

The Company is not a distributor of user content. You own all the information you publish on vDoske. You create, change, make publicly available to an unlimited audience, and delete content — including personal data — on your own, without our involvement or approval.

If you publish your personal data as part of your public profile or your listings so that users can contact you or get fuller information about your offer, you are disclosing it to an unlimited audience yourself. The Company processes your personal data in order to perform its agreement with you — the vDoske Terms of Use.

If you publish third-party personal data on vDoske or otherwise pass it to the Company, you warrant to us that every applicable requirement of personal-data law has been met, including but not limited to holding the necessary consents from the data subjects or another lawful basis for doing so.

You are responsible for making sure your user content fully complies with applicable law, the vDoske Terms of Use, the listing rules, and the requirements for profiles and reviews. You warrant that your content does not infringe third-party intellectual property rights.

vDoske does not pre-moderate user content. We act on content following requests from authorised persons, in the manner set out by the law of the Republic of Korea.

Users publish information on vDoske in order to make contact with a potential buyer interested in a transaction for the goods in the listing. User content may be published for informational purposes only.

You may not publish knowingly false information in reviews, or leave any review of a vDoske seller if you are not interested in a transaction under the listing; inflating reviews is likewise not allowed, including paying for reviews that improve a seller's rating. Collecting, copying, using or taking any other action in respect of user content for purposes not set out in the Terms is prohibited. Users' phone numbers may not be used for purposes unrelated to buying goods from that user.

You grant the Company the right to use your content and the intellectual property in it under a non-exclusive licence: in perpetuity, free of charge, by any means, worldwide, with or without attribution. We may use your content to perform the Terms, to improve vDoske, for advertising and educational purposes, and in commercial and non-commercial projects. We may keep archival copies of user content and are not required to withdraw materials containing it from circulation.

How vDoske communicates with users

We may send you:

We may send you messages in the notification centre in your profile, to the phone number given in your profile, to your device as push notifications, and in vDoske messages.

In some cases we may call you to improve the service. What we learn from you helps us get better. We may also call you to support you in using the service. We may engage specialist partners for these calls.

Protection of intellectual property

The exclusive rights to the software required to use vDoske, to the databases, to the graphic design of the interface and to other elements of vDoske, to the trade name, trade marks and logos and other distinguishing marks of the Company, including those used within the domain name vdoske.app, belong to the sole proprietorship "vDoske" or to the Company.

The word mark "vDoske" is protected as a trade mark owned by the sole proprietorship "vDoske" (the rights holder) and used by the Company under a licence agreement with that rights holder.

The databases contain both content published openly on vDoske and content that is not available for users to view at a given moment. As the maker of the databases, the Company bears substantial financial, material, organisational and other costs in creating them.

We may automatically apply vDoske logos or watermarks to the photographs you upload, in order to protect the materials in our databases against unlawful copying.

User obligations

In dealing with the Company and other vDoske users, and in connection with your use of vDoske, you undertake:

Final provisions

The functionality of vDoske may change, be extended or be discontinued at any time without prior notice to users. vDoske is offered "as is", that is, in the form and to the extent in which the Company makes its features available at the moment you use them. We are not responsible for any indirect, incidental or unintentional damage, including lost profit or lost data, or harm to honour, dignity or business reputation, caused in connection with the use of vDoske.

vDoske may contain links to third-party sites. We do not control and are not responsible for the availability, content or lawfulness of those sites.

We update the vDoske Terms of Use as needed. We recommend that you visit this page from time to time.
